Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

Mothering With The Word Of God
Although it's a challenge to dive into the Word amongst a busy schedule, spending time with God has the power to transform motherhood. If you are a mom, you know just how hard it really is. Take time to rest in Him! He will give you strength!

Can we be real for a minute, and not sugar coat this whole Motherhood thing?

It is H-A-R-D

Motherhood is HARD.

And as many of us may wish for seasons to slow, or speed (can we say hello teething or pre-teen years) our roles and roots of motherhood only grow deeper throughout the years.

Motherhood is challenging at every stage and it doesn’t matter if your kids are young or grown now, you play a crucial role in who they are and who they become, and I don’t know about you, but many days, I take that a little too lightly if I am being honest.

But then, I’m led back to The One who enables me to be who He created me to be.

As a daughter, as a mother, as a wife, and as a friend.

Without the Lord’s daily wisdom and guidance, and moments of raising my white flag in surrender while I look myself in the bathroom hoping for a moment to hear that still small voice, I wouldn’t be half the mother I am, and who He is shaping me to be. Any successes I have in motherhood I owe all to my Savior, the one who settles my soul.

Over the course of the last 5 years of becoming a mother, and with the two little ones running around my ankles even as I write this, The Lord has drastically changed my view of Motherhood.

I went from being the mom that would stay up pinning 972 ways to teach your children the alphabet, only to wake up the next morning too exhausted to do any of them because I was up so late searching for the newest way, the most unique craft, and all the things that consume our minds at least one point as a mother.

Then came the shift.

The shift where I saw my role as activity manager, shift to Kingdom changer.

The shift when changing diapers, endless laundry, and alllll the snacks, were ways I was sowing seed into the lives of my children, and honoring God with the “first fruits’ or in the small things.

Mama, I hear you.

It’s hard on the day to day to find even a moment to press into the word of God.

But when you do, I promise His grace will wash over you, and not only will you become a better mother through it, but your heart will be in peace even in the moments where chaos calls.

I'd love to share with you, what that looks like for me and also leave you with some verses that have greatly encouraged me at different points of my journey as a mother. Spending time with God looks different through the many shifting seasons of motherhood, but I encourage you, as you make it a consistent goal, God will equip and empower you to be the mother he has for you to be. The one He has set apart to be a mother for those children who gave you that name.

OK, Let’s all take a deep breath together as we can all agree that yes, Motherhood is hard, in many ways it takes great sacrifice, but God has called you to it, and if you allow Him He will absolutely enable you through each season.

God created YOU with specific children in mind and He placed a great calling on your life when He entrusted you with those precious little lives. You, Mama, have an incredibly important call on your life, I encourage you to feel honored by that calling and to know that God is on your side!

Here are some of my favorite scriptures to rest in, on the days that motherhood feels extra hard ;) Deuteronomy 11:18 says, “Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign on your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.” As mothers, we are to cherish the words and promise that The Lord has given us! Here are a few reminders to rest in on those days.

1. Our children are a blessing from the Lord

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127:3

2. Motherhood can be exhausting at times, but take your burdens, cares, worries, and anxieties to the Lord and keep doing the good that God has called you to, you can be raising world changers.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give  you rest. Matthew 11:28

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

3. Let’s find our strength in the Lord! His greatest power can be shown through our weaknesses, but we must surrender to Him and allow His power to work through us.

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Isaiah 40:29

The Lord is my strength and my shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and me heart is  filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 28:7

4. You are God’s masterpiece and He created you to do the good work of motherhood!

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

Mom, if you’re feeling anxious in these uncertain times, here’s 30+ verses to encourage you.
