Last year I wrote an entire list of books that I was going to read in 2013. I did read most of those books, but after seeing my friend Crystal's idea to take it a month at a time I decided that she had a much better idea! Last year I found myself adding to the list and revising it as new books came out or book suggestions were given to me. So this year I will be sharing the books I read each month AFTER I read them. I can't wait to share my reading list with you each month and pray it will inspire you to dig in and keep your mind engaged in learning. Here are the books I read in January:

Mudhouse Sabbath by Lauren F. Winner ---WOW! I loved this book!! It really made me ponder spiritual discipline all while following along with Lauren's story of working out her faith after converting from Orthodox Judaism to Christianity.

Foreign to FamiliarΒ by Sarah A. Lanier ---This was such an interesting book!! You know how people will say, "Oh they are so friendly in the South."?? Well guess what?!?! There is a reason. This book was an eye-opener for me as it explored "hot and cold climate cultures".
I have a few that I am half way through but I won't add them until they are complete so next month will be a larger list!
So tell me...what books are you reading?? Anything you REALLY loved??
Blessings,
Ruth Schwenk
