When my husband and I became parents it did not take us long to realize there was one powerful way we could show God’s love and our love to our child...and it didn’t matter that our son was one a few weeks old! We began doing this right away and it helped us love as a family even better.

Apologizing.

There are many things in this world that God will use to refine us and transform us into the women God created us to be. Two of the greatest roles we have, being a wife and mother, do this on a daily basis for all of us. These relationships we have are intimate and dear to our hearts, but they also challenge our character and reflect areas in our lives that might need to be improved upon.

When I first got married, I thought I was close to perfect! I know this might sound ridiculous, but I truly believed that the conflict my husband and I faced in those early years were all because of him! I blamed him often.

February is known as the month of love! For years and years, millions of people take time to celebrate their loved ones on or around February 14th, which is fast approaching. Husbands and wives shower each other with gifts of love, as do many parents for their children.

Although we should take time throughout the year to show our loved ones just how much we appreciate and value them, it can be all the more a blessing during this month of love!

I searched for the best gifts of love one could shower their family with and gathered them here just for you! So if you need some inspiration or a few creative ideas in how to best express your love, here are my top 9!

Marriage And Parenting Make Me Better

When I got married just over eight years ago, I thought I was close to perfect. In fact, shortly after the wedding, I questioned who it was I had married. I thought I knew my husband well, but when conflict rose up, I could only assume it was because of him.

Because I was close to perfect.

I knew I had room to improve in some areas, however, I could not comprehend the ways I was contributing to the conflict.

It must have been all his fault!

Here at The Better Mom our passion is to encourage and affirm women in their role as a mother by sharing testimonies, providing resources, and extending hope to all those in need. And if we are being completely honest all moms are in need of these things on a regular basis. We are all on our own unique journey, yet we all can relate to the truth that parenting is a challenge as well as a great reward!
