How to Cheer Our Girls On & Teach Them to Shine in the World Today

How to Encourage and Cheer Our Girls On

My youngest daughter Sophia has always been a bright light. I often tell others that she wakes up each day as if it is the best day of her life. Okay, maybe not every day. But a lot of the days. With her cheerful demeanor and caring heart there is something so radiant about her. I especially love to watch her with her friends. She is easy going and full of laughter while always being keenly aware of the needs of those around her.

When I think of Sophia I think of a girl who shines brightly. However this isn’t just because it is “a part of her personality”. Although that does play a part, there is a lot that has also been learned as we have raised her over the last twelve years. We have loved her, nurtured her caring spirit and pointed her to Christ. There have been times when she doubted herself and we have had to encourage her. And I know this is just the beginning. Really, it is a lifelong process. Pouring into our girls, cheering them on and helping them to shine bright starts when our girls are young! And I think one of the best ways I’ve done this over the years are through resources like devotionals, girl’s story Bibles and more.

That is why I am SO excited to share a brand new activity box from the GEMS Girls Clubs called the ShineBrightly Activity Box designed to help us as moms teach our children how to shine bright in a fun and deeply meaningful way!

ShineBrightly Activity Box encourages girls, ages 7–12, to embrace who she was created to be! From DIY crafts and recipes to faith-filled devotions and everything FUN in between, each box will help girls light up with confidence and shine brightly!  (GEMS GIRLS CLUBS)

GEMS Girls Clubs has just released their very first activity box for girls called the ShineBrightly Activity Box. This first box is a special one centered around Easter! Here is what GEMS is saying about this exclusive box:

The Celebrate Easter box will help girls discover and share the faith-filled meaning of Easter. GEMS wants to help parents teach their girls that Easter is more than just chocolate bunnies and egg hunts. The Celebrate Easter box helps girls to understand the real Easter message in a fun, engaging, age appropriate, and girl-friendly way.  (GEMS GIRLS CLUB)
