Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

Making the Lesson Fun {United Healthcare's Educational Contest that You Pretty Much Need to Enter Now!}

Health care terminology is hard to understand. I donโ€™t know about you, but when someone is talking to me about a foreign subject, I mentally check out. This happened with math class in high school. Sometimes I put my head on the desk and hoped that if I fell asleep, perhaps it would all make sense when I awoke. I know that is sad. (Donโ€™t worry, I had great math teachers who never gave up on me and thereโ€™s a happy ending to that story.) I digress. The point is; I couldnโ€™t escape the reality that I needed to learn what my teachers were teaching.

Thankfully, some teachers are good at transmitting the information. Do you remember the teachers who made learning fun? Do you remember the teachers who built in prizes and games into the classroom economy? You probably can remember that teacher and a few things they taught you!

UnitedHealthcare has developed a way to make learning about health care fun, accessible, and even rewarding! I know that sounds nearly impossible. Donโ€™t lay your head on the table and check out. There are monetary prizes involved! (More on that in a moment!) Plus, we all truly need to have a basic understanding of health care terms and jargon.

Hereโ€™s what UnitedHealthcare has done. They have created two quiz-type games. These online games are designed to teach individuals the basics of health care. By learning a few standard procedures and terms, the individual is better equipped to make a decision on which plan is best for their situation. The best part, in my opinion, is you will be entered to win a prize. (Sorry, I still might be slightly elementary in my giddiness over giveaways, sweepstakes and the like.)

The first sweepstakes/game is called, Health Plan Pro. This contest has a $100 weekly winner and a $500 monthly winner! It takes about 5-6 minutes to complete. The contest runs until November 30th.

For this game you will answer terminology about health care, play a matching game about distinguishing health care accounts, learning about premiums, and ranking hypothetical scenarios based on their cost. I took the test. I actually did better than I thought I was going to do. Having kids teaches you things you wouldnโ€™t otherwise know! I bet you will do better than you expected too!

The second sweepstakes/game is a crossword puzzle titled, Whatโ€™s The Word. This contest has a $100 weekly winner and $500 monthly winner. This contest also runs until November 30th.

For this game, you will be given hints about certain health care terms. I think the people who created this puzzle did a good job at not making it too difficult or too easy.  The letters will stay red until you put the correct words in. Each individual letter will turn black when it is correct.

On each quiz, you will discover the correct answer, merely by participating. Also, you donโ€™t have to have a stellar score to be entered to win the weekly and monthly prizes! Just do it!

These are two separate sweepstakes opportunities, so do both! Why not? Ultimately, itโ€™s a combined 10-12 minutes of your time that will enhance your understanding and enter you to win some cash! Itโ€™s a win/win.

So here is what you need to do. Visit the UnitedHealthcare links in the Rafflecopter box below. Here's the over-the-top bonus: Just for visiting each of these links through Ruth's site and for participating in the quizzes, you will be entered for an additional prize through The Better Mom! One person will receive $100 Amazon gift card. Girl, you can't go wrong here. Visit the Rafflecopter links now, do the quizzes and feel that giddy sensation of knowing you could win!

I'm wrapping up this review by saying that UnitedHealthcare has made class fun. Their lesson was engaging and brief. Their prizes are generous. The information is valuable. I am now entered to win some cash AND I am also one step closer to being a supermom sage in selecting health care plans. Okay, maybe not all that "supermom sage" stuff, but the fact that I was able to rank 4 different health visits in the proper order of least to greatest cost, does count for something. Maybe I'm eligible for classification as a normal cool mom. I'm good with that.

This is me having coffee and breakfast while completing these contests! The whole thing was done before I even finished a cup of coffee. #YouCanDoIt!

Still working on that "sage" status,

Lindsey Feldpausch :)
