The Adventures of Lily Lapp is a series of books about a little Amish girl named Lily. The books take you through her adventures with her friends, family, and Amish life. On July 1st the 3rd book in the series was released called A Big Year for Lily.

A Big Year for Lily can be read as a stand alone or a read in the series. My daughter(9) and I really enjoyed the story! A Big Year for Lily had several funny parts that had us laughing out loud! The illustrations are simple, yet beautiful. The book centers on all of the changes Lily is going through. Her family recently moved and she is dealing with a new school and new friends. She is also turning 10, which is a special year among Amish children where you get to wear caped dresses and mingle with the older girls at church. It is also a time where she is learning to make more mature decisions and starting to feel grown up. She faces obstacles with certain kids at school and she learns to handle them quite well. This is a delightful book that is full of good family friendly reading.
